Experience report internship – Kenzo Proske
Freienbach, 9. April 2025
During the semester break from my studies, I was given the opportunity to complete an internship in CONSTELLATION’s investment team. Due to an imminent transaction, I found myself in the project team just a few days after starting and was able to participate in all phases of the process up to the successful signing. Thanks to the lean team structure, I was given a healthy amount of responsibility and trust early on as an intern, so that I felt like a fully-fledged and important team member at all times. Despite the responsibility I was given, the team was always ready to help me with any questions I had.
The daily tasks were varied and involved various investments in different sectors and investment stages, giving me a comprehensive insight into the dynamic work at a private equity fund. I particularly appreciated the fact that at the beginning of my internship I was allowed to express specific wishes as to which areas I would like to be involved in. Looking back, I can say that this was implemented to the best of my ability. In addition to the usual tasks such as preparing financial models or presentation documents for investment decisions, transaction structures or strategic topics, I particularly appreciated the exchange with entrepreneurs and investors, which is emblematic of CONSTELLATION’s mission statement “At eye level with entrepreneurs”.
I always found the interaction within the young team to be positive and collegial, which was also reflected in the flat hierarchy. Even after completing my internship, I maintained regular contact with a large part of the team. The combination of the exciting work and the team was ultimately the decisive factor in me taking up the full-time offer I received after completing my Master’s degree and returning to CONSTELLATION as an Investment Analyst in September 2024.
