BBI – Bildungs- und Beratungsinstitut GmbH joins forces with CONSTELLATION ACADEMY GmbH

BBI will thus become part of the newly founded CAG, under whose umbrella the future investments of the CONSTELLATION V Fund in the education sector will be combined.

As part of a succession plan, the previous owners have decided to sell BBI, which was founded in 1990, to CAG. BBI focuses on labour market-oriented further education in the fields of business and information technology for people of all ages entering and changing professions and employs more than 200 people in 15 branches in Saxony-Anhalt.

Initially, CAG is to be developed into a leading national provider of vocational further training and labour market integration in Germany, before further majority shareholdings in German-speaking countries are targeted. Further add-on acquisitions that diversify the group geographically have already been identified.

This acquisition is a decisive first step towards the intended positioning of CAG as the leading provider of continuing education in Germany. BBI fits ideally into the buy and build strategy developed for the sector and creates a superior starting position for a geographically diversified orientation in the market.
